Sport Style Guide Dog Harness

This harness is designed with comfort and function in mind. It is lightweight, washable, flexes with the dog’s movements and is nonrestrictive of the front legs. It can be used as the primary harness or as a secondary harness for camping, hiking, or wet conditions.
There are 2 shoulder straps which are attached high up on the girth strap. These straps angle over the shoulders, meeting at the front over the dog’s breast bone. Coming down from the meeting of the shoulder straps is a martingale strap. The martingale goes between the dog’s front legs, threading over the girth strap.
Sport Style Harnesses are made of 1.5 inch wide straps with padding in the shoulders and back. The handles attach with side release buckles. The girth strap also snaps into place with a side release buckle. Handles have a metal core, covered with black webbing. The hand area has a rubber grip for added comfort. There is very little play in the harness and handle connection.

Harnesses can be hand washed with mild detergent. They should be squeezed to remove as much water as possible and hung to drip dry. Handles should be wiped off with a damp cloth. No other care is necessary. Avoid bringing the harness or handle into contact with Velcro. Also avoid contact with extremely hot temperatures like clothes dryers or irons, as they may melt the webbing.

There are a variety of colors and sizes available. However not all colors are available for immediate shipment in all sizes. You are welcome to choose another color or wait for me to create a harness for you in your desired color.

To place an order, please contact me. It is best if we discuss your needs and the options available. I will need to know your dog’s measurements to ensure a correct fit. I will need your dog’s height, weight, breed and girth measurement, which is the widest part behind the front legs, around the rib cage. Handles are also available in a variety of lengths. I will need to know your preferred length. Due to the handle attachment points a 1 to 2 inch shorter handle than what is used on the American style harness is usually preferred. I am happy to help you choose and to exchange handles later if needed.
